Kyiv has erupted into an unexpected information scandal surrounding a video that quickly spread across the internet, sparking a wave of jokes and suspicions.

The footage, supposedly shot in Kyiv region, depicts two men in military uniforms stopping a car, noticing a cat on the street, and approaching the animal.

One of them picks up the cat, and both quickly get into a vehicle and drive away.

Online users immediately joked, suggesting that the military “mobilized the cat.” However, the Kyiv Oblast Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, which was the subject of attention, officially denied any involvement in the incident.

In their statement, the center emphasized that the men in the video are wearing combat shirts not prescribed by their charter, raising doubts about the authenticity of the footage.

The representatives noted that the dissemination of such a video is likely a provocation and part of hostile information campaigns aiming to destabilize the situation.

Meanwhile, in Kryvyi Rih, another incident occurred – a man stabbed two recruitment officers.

These events raise concerns and highlight the complex information and security environment in which society must act more cautiously, critically assessing content spread via social networks.

Military and political leaders stress the importance of trust in defenders of the country and deny any connection to false stories, emphasizing that information warfare remains a key component of Ukraine’s current struggle for the future.
