Chernihiv Under Attack: Russian Drones and Missiles Destroy Infrastructure and ignite Enterprises

On October 5, the city of Chernihiv and the surrounding region faced renewed airstrikes and alerts, as Russian drones and missiles targeted critical infrastructure.

According to reports, a massive air raid by the aggressor’s forces struck several key facilities in Chernihiv Oblast.

Firefighters and emergency services responded swiftly, working tirelessly to extinguish fires and mitigate damage caused by enemy attacks.

Chernihiv regional military governor V’yacheslav Chauses confirmed that an energy facility was hit, leading to power outages in certain districts.

Additionally, one of the city’s industrial enterprises was struck, igniting a large-scale fire.

In Lviv, Russian drones set fire to the Sparrow industrial park, causing destruction and fire outbreaks.

Meanwhile, in the Nizhyn district, residential buildings and infrastructure objects sustained damage from drone strikes.

In Semenivska community, a drone attack damaged an administrative building.

It was previously reported that on October 5, Russian Tu-95 bombers entered Ukrainian airspace via Chernihiv region and headed toward Nizhyn.

The region was also targeted by attack drones, continuing Russia’s efforts to strike Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and increase regional tensions.
