Additional support for residents of frontline territories: who can access government assistance

Recently, Ukraine launched a new support program aimed at residents living near combat zones.
The goal of this initiative is to provide extra assistance to people affected by ongoing military actions in the most challenging conditions.
According to recent government orders, every family in frontline regions will be eligible to receive an additional 100 kilowatt-hours of electricity for each family member.
This program is designed to help reduce utility costs for vulnerable households.Information about how to obtain this support has been published on the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity.
Government officials emphasize that residents already receiving benefits and subsidies for housing and communal services can benefit from this aid.
Specifically, the payout amounts to 432 hryvnias per family member, with a maximum total of 1,296 hryvnias per household. The application process is largely automated: there is no need for personal visits or additional requests.
Payments are made automatically by the Pension Fund, funded from the state budget, and will continue until the situation stabilizes—either through evacuation beyond active or possible combat zones or due to a change in the legal status of the territory.
This assistance is provided until families leave the danger zone or their status changes, including cases of temporary occupation or safety improvements. It is also important for recipients of subsidies to inform the relevant authorities—Pension Fund or local administrations—about any changes in the territory’s status, which ensures timely adjustment of benefits and support for those in need.
