In the city of Shostka in Sumy region, a critical situation has developed following a missile attack — the entire infrastructure is either destroyed or damaged, leaving the city without electricity, gas, and water.

Several infrastructure objects were targeted, including the railway station, which was hit during the strike.

Sadly, eight people were injured, among them three children aged between eight and fourteen years.

One of the victims, a boy, is in a moderate condition.

Oleksii Grygorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, reported that the strike was targeted and aimed at civilian infrastructure.

At the time of the attack, the station was filled with dozens of people waiting to board trains.

The explosion damaged a passenger train running from Shostka to Kyiv as well as a suburban train.

After the first blast, a reconnaissance drone appeared overhead, complicating rescue efforts, and later Russian forces struck again, exacerbating the situation.

As a result of the attack, the city lost power, and parts of the surrounding areas were disconnected from essential services.

Rescue teams, medical personnel, and emergency services are currently working at the scene, and an operational headquarters has been established to coordinate further actions.

Those affected are receiving necessary medical and psychological assistance.

The attack caused significant damage to critical infrastructure, and an emergency regime has been introduced in the city, with authorities urging citizens to remain calm and follow safety instructions.
