Ukrainian Special Forces Conduct Decisive Strike on Russian Radar Systems in Voronezh Region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, acting decisively and in coordinated manner, launched one of the most active operations in their counteroffensive to neutralize Russian air defense systems in the Voronezh region.
During this special operation, Ukrainian units used precise attack drones to target critical assets, including the P-14F ‘Lena’ long-range detection radar station and the ‘Sopka-2’ radar complex.
According to the General Staff, these targets played vital roles in Russia’s airspace control system, especially around the Buturlinovka airbase and along the border with Ukraine.
The detection and destruction of these systems marked a significant step in combating Russian air defense capabilities, which were used to detect and target Ukrainian drones.
Despite their intended purpose, both systems failed to withstand the effective attack launched by Ukrainian forces.
Notably, the operation’s success was documented with video footage published by Ukrainian special forces working jointly with Ministry of Defense reconnaissance units, resulting in the elimination of Russian personnel and equipment on their territory.
