Military Strikes and Logistic Crises: Russian Occupants in Crimea Face Fuel Shortages, Potential Game Changer

Ukrainian defenders continue to target military infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Crimea, while Russian forces are grappling with a serious fuel shortage that could have far-reaching consequences.

Reports from military officials indicate that Crimea hosts a large-scale military infrastructure demanding substantial resources, including vast quantities of fuel for ships, machinery, and transportation.

However, damage to railway lines and restrictions on usage of the Crimean Bridge have severely limited fuel supplies, throwing logistics into crisis.

According to Дмитро Плетенчук, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, fuel problems are already impacting military units in the region — their diesel and gasoline reserves are running low, threatening their ability to sustain defenses and undertake offensive actions.

Military expert Michael Clark previously warned that as winter approaches, Ukraine could launch a major assault on Crimea, possibly deploying landing operations or striking strategic targets like the Kerch Bridge.

Such developments would significantly increase pressure on the occupying regime and could lead to pivotal shifts in the regional military landscape.
