Massive Russian Night Attack on Odessa: Damage to Railway Infrastructure and Energy Facilities

On the night of October 2-3, Russian forces launched a large-scale strike against civilian infrastructure in the Odessa region, utilizing attack drones and missile systems.
As a result of the attack, critical components of the railway network and energy sector were damaged, causing significant disruptions and temporary power outages.
Odesa Regional Military Administration head, Oleh Kiper, reported that thanks to the efforts of air defense systems, many of the incoming threats were intercepted; however, some drones still hit their targets, igniting fires at transportation sites.
Notably, railway depots and power substations suffered destruction.
During the night attack, one railway worker received shrapnel wounds and was provided medical care.
Additionally, the roof and windows of a private house were damaged, and another local resident sustained injuries.
Local Telegram channels published footage of a fire that broke out at the railway facility.
The incident also resulted in power supply disruptions, leaving over 50,000 residents without electricity for a period of time.
Preliminary reports indicate that energy infrastructure has started to be restored using various sources.
Earlier, it was reported that on October 3 at 02:27 a.m., Odessa was again attacked with kamikaze drones, leading to new explosions in the city.
