Danish Military Intelligence Warns: Russia Preparing New Provocations Against NATO

According to a detailed assessment published by the Danish Military Intelligence Service, the security situation in Europe remains highly tense due to the escalation of hybrid threats from Russia.
The report states that Moscow perceives itself as a participant in a hybrid conflict with NATO and employs a broad spectrum of aggressive actions aimed at destabilizing the region without resorting to outright warfare.
These include sabotage operations, cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, and military provocations in maritime and airspaces.
Specifically, Russia actively uses drones and exhibits aggressive behavior near NATO member borders, as part of its strategic tactic to test the alliance’s unity and weaken its support for Ukraine amid ongoing conflict.
Intelligence analysis clearly emphasizes that the Kremlin’s main goal is to weaken NATO from within and create conditions for further destabilizations across the Euro-Atlantic space.
While the immediate risk of a direct military attack on Denmark remains low, the threat level posed by special operations and cyber threats is very high and necessitates appropriate security measures.
Past assessments, supported by reports from British and European media including The Economist, indicate that Vladimir Putin aims to undermine NATO internally and achieve strategic objectives in its confrontation with the alliance.
