On October 2nd, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in a significant international gathering.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that Zelensky is scheduled to deliver a speech before the European Political Community, an assembly comprising approximately 50 heads of states, governments, and EU leaders.

Additionally, he will hold a joint press conference with Prime Minister Frederiksen, addressing key issues related to global and European security, cooperation, and Ukraine’s aspirations for closer integration into the European political landscape amid ongoing conflicts.

The event underscores Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its ties with European institutions and garner support for its sovereignty and security amidst Russian aggression.

Discussions are also expected to include potential reparations for Ukraine, notably via frozen Russian assets, which could amount to as much as 140 billion euros.

Furthermore, the EU is contemplating increased sanctions targeting Russia’s energy, financial, and trading sectors, aiming to escalate pressure through the 19th package of restrictions.

These topics will be deliberated at an informal summit in Copenhagen, marking a strategic step toward unified European support for Ukraine and intensified measures against Moscow.
