The situation along the Vovchansk front remains tense but is fully under control of Ukrainian troops.

According to Vadym Mylynik, spokesperson for the Northern Operational Group, Russian forces have not achieved significant breakthroughs or notable successes in the area.

Although the situation changes daily, the Ukrainian military continues to monitor movements of Russian units, given the proximity to the border and the possibility of rapid redeployment via railway.

Ukrainian intelligence closely tracks even small detachments from the Russian «Sever» group operating in this sector.

This intelligence allows Ukrainian forces to respond swiftly to any maneuvers, including the transfer of equipment or reinforcements from Kursk or Sumy directions.

Mylynik stated that the Russians are forcibly mobilizing residents on occupied territories and forming assault groups within each battalion and company, often sent into battle with minimal training.

Prisoners of war report that these groups are tasked mainly with taking control of individual buildings or industrial zones, where holding positions or filming propaganda videos are their primary goals.

Additionally, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attempt to push in Zaporizhzhia region near the village of Stepove in Vasylivka district, thwarting the attackers’ advance.
