Ukrainian Armed Forces Conduct Powerful Strikes on Strategic Targets in September
In September, Ukrainian military forces demonstrated a high level of operational skill and efficiency, destroying a total of 19 strategic targets deep in enemy territory, significantly impacting the opponent’s capabilities.
The 14th Drone Forces Regiment, known as ‘Birds of Madjar,’ played a particularly prominent role by successfully eliminating seven targets, including several oil refineries and other critical fuel infrastructure facilities.
According to Major Robert Brovdi, commander of SBS, who operates under the call sign ‘Madjar,’ these targets are scattered across various regions of Russia, especially in areas supporting the occupation regime.
The destruction of these facilities has substantially undermined Russia’s fuel supply system, reducing fuel stocks and hampering military logistics.
Notably, attacks on gas processing and fuel bases have led to a decrease in fuel reserves within the aggressor’s territory, directly affecting its ability to sustain active combat operations.
These actions illustrate Ukraine’s effectiveness in air and drone defense, strengthening its position in the ongoing war, while simultaneously disrupting Russian logistics and forcing strategic recalibrations.Furthermore, it is significant to note that since late September, the Russian energy sector has been experiencing a serious crisis due to systematic Ukrainian drone attacks.
Over 20 major oil refineries have been damaged or destroyed, causing a large-scale fuel crisis in Russia.
Experts report that approximately 38% of oil processing capacities are currently idle, with diesel and gasoline production down by 6% in August and another 18% in September.
These developments have directly impacted Russia’s economy, disrupting internal supply chains and reducing export potential.
This sequence of events underscores Ukraine’s strategic importance in energy independence and security, while enhancing its image as an effective participant in the modern warfare aimed at destroying enemy supply resources.
