New Attacks in Kharkiv Region: 88-Year-Old Woman Killed, Dozens Injured and Infrastructure Damaged

Russian occupying forces continue to carry out intense and destructive shelling across Ukraine, causing extensive damage to residential buildings, infrastructure, and numerous civilians in Kharkiv region.
Recent reports indicate that in Balakliya, located in Kharkiv Oblast, a missile of the ‘Iskander-M’ type was aimed at the yard of a multi-story residential building, resulting in tragic consequences.
The attack killed an 88-year-old pensioner, and 16 other people sustained injuries of varying severity.
A four-year-old girl experienced a severe stress reaction as a result of the attack.
Private vehicles of residents were damaged, and five shops, cafes, an administrative building, a beauty salon, two pharmacies, five apartment buildings, and a dental clinic were also affected.
Additionally, Russian troops launched a second wave of drone-shahed strikes against Kharkiv within the same day, damaging several buildings and vehicles.
The head of Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleksiy Sinegubov, reported that an air strike on the Kupiansk district damaged one apartment block, three private houses, and farm structures.
Yesterday, Russian forces dropped guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv, injuring eight civilians in the Saltivka district.
These actions mark ongoing escalation and barbaric aggression against peaceful populations, highlighting the continuous destruction and human toll inflicted by the invaders.
