New blow to the collaborator regime in Nova Kakhovka: armed elimination of the main ‘traitor’ Volodymyr Leontyev

This morning, in the temporarily occupied city of Nova Kakhovka, a significant military operation took place targeting one of the leading traitors and representatives of the pro-Russian regime in the region.
The occupying authorities reported the elimination of ‘the head of the city council,’ Volodymyr Leontyev, who is suspected of collaboration with Russian troops and treason against Ukraine.
According to journalist Yuriy Butusov, the operation was captured on exclusive footage, generating widespread media resonance.
The videos show the use of the unmanned aerial vehicle Vampire, known locally as ‘Baba Yaga,’ which accurately struck and destroyed the traitor’s vehicle.
The operation is linked to the activities of the local resistance movement actively opposing the occupation regime.
Butusov emphasized that this act was not only a targeted elimination but also a symbolic act of retribution for treason against Ukrainian society.
Leontyev, aged 61, was appointed by the occupation authorities in April 2022 as the so-called ‘head of Nova Kakhovka’.
He is accused of involvement in the kidnapping of journalist Oleg Baturin and the abduction of Kherson city officials, including Mayor Oleksandr Shapovalov of Beryslav.
These actions and the figure of the collaborator have provoked outrage across Ukraine, and his elimination marked a crucial step in the local resistance efforts and Ukraine’s ongoing fight against Russian aggression.
