On the night of Sunday, September 28th, Russia launched a large-scale attack on the Sumy region, utilizing kamikaze drones to strike infrastructure targets.

Local authorities report that as a result of this assault, one man was killed, and four others were wounded of varying severity.

The incident caused massive fires that engulfed seven trucks with semi-trailers near infrastructure facilities and led to the destruction of residential and utility buildings.

In two communities of the region, casualties were reported: in Znamyanska New Town, a 59-year-old man died on the spot, and another man was injured; in Velyka Pysarivka, three men aged 32 to 43 received gunshot wounds.

The aggressors also destroyed two houses, damaged a fire truck, and targeted other infrastructure objects in different communities.

Additionally, a few days prior, Russian drones attacked a gas service vehicle, though no injuries occurred.

The ongoing warfare and daily shelling continue to pose significant threats to local residents, severely impacting infrastructure and daily life.
