Odessa Region Suffers New Damage After Rocket Attack on Winery

Chas Pravdy - 28 September 2025 09:24

On the night of Sunday, September 28, a new escalation of the ongoing conflict occurred in southern Ukraine, when Russian forces launched a missile strike targeting a winery located in the Odessa region.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the enemy employed a combined tactic of mass missile attacks, which struck an industrial facility in the Bylgorod-Dnistrovskyi district.

The attack resulted in a large fire at the plant, which firefighters promptly contained.

However, production workshops and storage facilities were damaged.

Officials from the SES reported that at the time of the attack, around fifty workers were in shelters, which saved their lives during the air raid.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the staff.

Additionally, the roof of a private residential building nearby was damaged.

Emergency crews are still working at the scene to assess and mitigate the consequences of the strike.

Details regarding the extent of damages and possible casualties are still being clarified, but it is clear that the destruction affected not only the industrial zone but also neighboring residential areas.

This incident highlights once again the increasing intensity of military actions in southern Ukraine, illustrating the ongoing difficulties faced by the region for over a year and a half since the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion.

Ukrainian rescue services continue their work on-site to minimize damage and ensure the safety of local residents.
