Extensive Destruction and Casualties in Kyiv Region Following Russian Strikes
On September 26, the Kyiv region experienced another devastating episode as a result of a massive missile attack carried out by Russian forces.
The aftermath saw numerous residential areas near Kyiv, especially towns like Petrpavlivska Borchsagivka and Vysneve, suffer extensive destruction.
According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the number of injured from this attack has risen to 27.
The most affected area was Bucha district, with 17 wounded civilians.
The strikes caused significant damage to residential complexes, infrastructure, and private homes.
In Petrpavlivska Borchsagivka, a residential complex sustained substantial destruction.
Emergency services are providing medical and psychological support to those affected.
The exact number of fatalities is still being clarified by authorities.
In the Fastiv district, seven individuals were injured, including one in Gattne, where a drone attack targeted a residential sector, and several others at a bread factory that caught fire following the strike.
In the Bila Tserkva district, three people were wounded, one of whom sustained injuries during a fire on the roof of a nine-story apartment building.
All victims are receiving necessary medical aid; however, hospitalization details are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, a fire on the roof of an apartment building in Bila Tserkva was promptly extinguished by firefighters.
Damage assessments have also been conducted in Obukhiv and Boryspil districts.
The attacks affected not only residential buildings but also critical infrastructure, including the destruction of the Cardiological Institute building in Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.
At least four people have lost their lives due to the missile strikes, adding another tragic page to the ongoing conflict.
Law enforcement officers and emergency responders are on the ground working tirelessly to assess and mitigate the consequences of this brutal assault.
