Escalation on the Front Lines: 145 Battles in a Single Day and New Clashes in the Conflict
On Saturday, the Ukrainian front saw an intense escalation of military actions, marking one of the most active periods in recent months.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a total of 145 combat engagements were recorded across various sectors, with the highest activity observed on the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian forces launched 40 attacks.
This indicates heightened tension and increasing combat intensity.
More details point to the northern and southeastern sectors, where Ukrainian defenders repelled multiple assault attempts by the enemy, notably on the North-Slobohańsk and Kursk directions.
Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted four assault operations, with one ongoing.
In addition to ground attacks, the enemy employed aviation, executing 17 air strikes with 44 guided bombs and launching 169 artillery attacks, including 11 with rocket launch systems.
The most intense fighting is reported in the South Slobozhansk direction, where the enemy tried to breach Ukrainian positions five times near settlements such as Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and in the direction of Dorozychivka.
Battles continue in these areas.
On the Kupiansk sector, the enemy made six assault attempts attempting to penetrate defenses near Petropavlivka, Pishane, and Bohuslavka.
The Limansk sector saw 15 attacks by Russian forces in the areas of Shandrigolove, Kolodiyazi, and Torske.
Fighting persists in three locations there.
The Siversk direction experienced four enemy infiltration attempts near Serebrianka, Fedorivka, and Dronivka, with one fight still ongoing.
On the Kramatorsk sector, two clashes occurred, with the enemy trying to advance toward Stupochki.
The Toretsk area saw 14 attacks by Russian troops, who concentrated efforts near Oleksandro-Shultyn, Shcherbynivka, Pleshii, Yablunivka, and Rusinyi Yar.
The enemy’s efforts are most concentrated here.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units made 40 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in regions such as Vlodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Chervony Lyman, Sukhetske, Novoyekonomne, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotni, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Kotliarivka, and Dachne.
Fighting in some areas continues without cease.
On this day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 154 enemy soldiers, including 90 confirmed killed.
They also destroyed three enemy vehicles, shot down 22 drones, and significantly damaged three artillery systems, one tank, two electronic warfare devices, and ten enemy shelters.
