Cybercriminals Steal Personal Data of Over 8,000 Children in London: New Data Leak Sparks Concern
A major cyberattack in London has resulted in malicious actors, allegedly linked to Russia, gaining access to the personal information of more than 8,000 children attending Kido International preschools.
According to data published on their dark web portal, the hacking group called Radiant released names, photographs, home addresses, and contact details of 10 children and their families.
The message also announced plans to reveal an additional 30 profiles for each child and information on 100 staff members soon.
London police have initiated an investigation but have not made any arrests yet, stating that the inquiry remains in its early stages.
The hackers, who boasted about their breach via encrypted messaging, claimed to have infiltrated the Kido network for several weeks and confirmed their presence in Russia, although no evidence was provided.
They also refused to disclose how much ransom they demanded for the data release.
