Chas Pravdy - 26 September 2025 09:43

On the night of September 26, Russian forces carried out another airstrike on residential areas in the Sumy region, resulting in the complete destruction of two houses and damage to several others.

The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m., when the enemy used guided aerial bombs to target settlements within the Stetskivskyi territorial community.

According to Serhii Kryvoisheienko, head of the Sumy city military administration, the attack caused significant destruction: at least two homes were totally destroyed, while up to ten others suffered serious damage.

Yurii Lysenco, the local community leader, reported that the strike specifically hit the village of Stetskivka and added that these aggressive acts have left infrastructure severely damaged, with residents potentially left without electricity and gas supply.

Preliminary assessments indicated that the extent of the damage was still being clarified, and concerns about possible power and gas outages persisted.

In addition, rescuers recounted the challenging firefighting operations conducted amid ongoing shelling, showcasing footage of the aftermath.

At 8:40 a.m., Kryvoisheienko also informed that a drone attack targeted a gas service vehicle responding after the initial strike.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Earlier, on the same day, powerful explosions shook Kherson, where Russian forces struck the city with guided bombs, causing widespread alarm among residents.

The ongoing war continues to inflict destruction and hardship on Ukrainian communities, forcing locals to confront the harsh realities of conflict day after day.
