Russian airstrikes on Kostiantynivka: casualties and destruction amid ongoing conflict
Last night, Russian military forces launched renewed series of missile and airstrikes on the strategically important city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region.
The attacks, which appear to be part of a systematic campaign of terror against civilians, resulted in at least two civilian injuries and caused extensive damage to residential and medical infrastructure.
According to Sergey Gorbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka military administration, the enemy employed guided FAB-250 bombs aiming to maximize destruction of civilian facilities.
“During one of the strikes, two civilians sustained gunshot wounds and later sought medical assistance at a hospital in Druzhkivka,” he stated.
The destructive consequences of the air attack extended beyond private homes to vital public institutions.
Six multi-story residential buildings and 18 private homes suffered serious damage, the facade of the local hospital was damaged, and an administrative building of a local enterprise was destroyed.
Authorities strongly condemn these actions, emphasizing that they are deliberate acts of terror and destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Law enforcement agencies continue to document and investigate these war crimes committed by Russia, which have significant international repercussions.
