Russian Airstrikes on Kherson: Massive Attack and Its Aftermath
On the morning of September 26, Russian forces launched a sudden and powerful air attack on the city of Kherson, dropping over fifteen aerial bombs within just one hour.
This assault marked one of the largest aerial strikes in recent months, with the consequences still impacting local residents.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, the strikes damaged an administrative building and nine private houses.
No information on casualties has been reported yet, but it is clear that the trauma and destruction caused by this attack create an extremely tense situation in the city.Additionally, powerful explosions were heard early in the morning, and around 5:50 am, reports indicated that Russian bombers had already taken up launch positions.
This suggests a significant operation with meticulous planning.
It is worth recalling that the previous night, the enemy deployed a total of 154 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other models, which Ukrainian air defense systems managed to shoot down or suppress across the country’s northern, southern, eastern, and central regions.Overall, the situation remains tense, and Ukrainian defenders continue to fight fiercely, countering unprecedented numbers of drones and airstrikes in an effort to minimize destruction and ensure the safety of civilians.
