Powerful Explosions in Kherson: Russian Airstrikes and New Threats
Early this morning, Kherson was rocked by a series of loud explosions, causing panic among residents.
According to the regional military administration, Russian forces used guided aerial bombs in a deliberate attempt to strike key infrastructure and residential areas.
Reports of the attacks emerged at around 5:50 AM, when Kherson VA head Oleksandr Prokudin announced via Telegram about the powerful blasts in the city.
Just minutes earlier, at 5:18 AM, he informed about Russian fighter-bombers—Su-34 aircraft—approaching their launch areas and preparing for large-scale strikes.
Observations recorded at that time confirmed the presence of at least four Su-34 jets in the sky.
Prokudin urged residents to immediately seek shelter or move to safe locations to avoid injuries or life-threatening situations.
By 6:10 AM, the number of Russian aircraft in the air increased to six, with enemy forces preparing another wave of strikes from the city center direction.
Local authorities warn of possible repeated air raids and advise citizens to stay in safe places, closely follow official updates, and avoid unnecessary risks.
