Massive Attack on Kherson: Airbombings, Artillery Strikes, and City Damage
On Friday morning, the city of Kherson experienced a heavy wave of attacks by Russian occupation forces, leading to widespread destruction and injuries among residents.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, who posted on social media, the city was subjected to a coordinated airstrike by Russian aviation that lasted for about an hour and was highly destructive.
Approximately fifteen aerial bombs were dropped, damaging an administrative building and nine private homes.
Fortunately, there are no reports of casualties among civilians or personnel so far.In addition to the air strikes, around 8:30 a.m., Russian military forces launched artillery fire in the central parts of Kherson.
One of the artillery shells hit a маршрутне таксі (minibus), destroying the vehicle in the explosion.
As a result, a 48-year-old woman was injured, sustaining facial burns, a concussion, and both open and closed cranial injuries.
Emergency medical teams quickly transported her to the hospital, where she received necessary care.
