Mass Drone Attacks in Sumy: Firefighters Confront Enemy Strikes Amid Sheltering Under Fire
On September 25, the city of Sumy experienced large-scale drone assaults, carried out by Russian forces in a significant barrage amidst ongoing hostilities.
Unmanned aerial vehicles targeted various parts of the city, striking both private and municipal facilities, as well as residential neighborhoods.
This situation compelled local firefighters to respond swiftly and bravely while under continuous enemy fire.
Videos released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy region depict the tense situation and the heroism of the firefighters, who tirelessly battled fires erupting across different sectors of the city.
Despite the threat of further strikes, all fire hotspots were effectively extinguished, and damaged structures were promptly inspected and assessed.
During rescue operations, necessary aid was provided to residents, with reports on injuries still being clarified.
It is worth noting that earlier, it was reported that in the Zarichny and Kopyaki districts, drone debris caused panic and acute stress among local inhabitants, including an elderly woman who experienced a severe emotional reaction.
