Frontline Operations Near Dobropillia: Ukrainian Forces’ Ongoing Struggles and Achievements Against Russian Aggression

Chas Pravdy - 26 September 2025 04:37

In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold their lines effectively and conduct counter-offensive actions against Russian forces in the area of Dobropillia.

According to recent reports from Ukrainian sources, including DeepState, the situation remains tense and dynamically evolving on this front segment.

Soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, together with other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, are engaged in a deliberate effort to clear Russian positions around the village of Mayak within the Shakhivska community of Pokrovsk district, closer to the frontline.

On the northern part of the sector, active drone operations are enabling Ukrainian troops to monitor enemy movements and coordinate their actions.

The General Staff of Ukraine reported that over the past 24 hours, enemy units attempted 56 times to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Pokrovsk direction, indicating ongoing pressure and fierce fighting for every piece of territory.

Logistics appears to be particularly impacted by what is known as the “Rubicon,” which complicates the enemy’s supply routes and retreat paths.

Additionally, Russian forces have intensified their attacks in villages like Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, and others, employing tactics of flanking and attempting to seize Ukrainian positions, aiming to hinder Ukrainian counteroffensives and secure strategic footholds.

Special attention is also being paid to the Lyman sector, where the Russians strive to encircle Ukrainian forces by bypassing their positions, uncovering drone operators and mortar teams, and engaging in close-range combat under continuous minefield hazards and urban warfare conditions.
