Zelensky Announces Significant Financial Contributions to Ukraine Support Program under PURL Framework
During a crucial meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined remarkable achievements in securing military assistance for his country.
He stated that thanks to the collaborative efforts of the international community and NATO member states, the total contributions to the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program have already reached an impressive $2.1 billion.
This figure underscores the high level of global support for Ukraine’s fight for independence and sovereignty.
Zelensky emphasized that this financial support enables Ukraine to upgrade and bolster its defense capabilities, especially through the procurement of modern American weaponry essential for countering Russian aggression.
NATO Secretary General Rutte highlighted the importance of increasing contributions and expanding international participation to accelerate and enhance defensive initiatives.
The presidential office added that discussions also covered regional security issues amidst growing threats from Russia, which continues to deliberately violate the airspace of NATO countries—actions that are no longer accidental but a targeted political strategy.
Recall that the first military equipment, including long-range radar systems and air defense complexes, has already arrived in Ukraine under the US-NATO agreement within the PURL program, and further supplies are imminent.
Earlier, news agencies reported that the initial packages of US military aid to Ukraine, approved by the Trump administration, are being prepared for dispatch.
These support packages include missile systems for Patriot and Himars, significantly strengthening Ukraine’s defense potential.
