Russian Attacks on Energy Infrastructure in Vinnytsia Region: Consequences and Current Situation
On September 25, the Vinnytsia region experienced large-scale missile and drone attacks launched by Russian forces, causing serious damage to critical regional infrastructure.
According to the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, the Russians deliberately targeted energy facilities, resulting in widespread power outages across significant parts of the area.
Emergency services and energy providers are already working at the site to eliminate the aftermath and restore damaged infrastructure.
Official sources have so far not reported any casualties; however, the situation remains tense as the aggressor continues to use drones and airplanes to carry out strikes.
Between 01:49 and 03:25, air raid alerts were issued in several districts: Vinnytsia, Zhmerinka, Haisyn, and Tulchyn.
The Ukrainian Air Forces reported that several groups of UAVs from Odesa and other regions attempted to penetrate into Vinnytsia territory from the south and east, moving near Krychopil and Orativ, and passing through Tulchyn towards the northwest.
At 02:45, drone movements near Zhmerinka were recorded, and at 02:55, explosions were reported in the Zhmerinka district, indicating attempts to breach and damage key facilities.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces focused on countering drones in Kharkiv, where several explosions were heard during the night.
The operational situation remains tense, and the region’s energy supply continues to be critically affected, impacting thousands of residents’ daily lives.
