Occupation authorities in Luhansk force students to donate blood for the Russian army: exploiting the guise of ‘unity’

In the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk, a new ethical and moral crisis concerning public safety has emerged.

According to the National Resistance Center, the occupation authorities of the aggressor country have launched a large-scale campaign titled ‘For Ours’, aimed at collecting blood donations for wounded Russian soldiers.

Young people are being used as both a propaganda tool and a resource for war efforts.

Students have been coerced—either voluntarily or under pressure—to donate blood at specially equipped points, raising serious concerns about violations of young people’s rights and abuse by occupying structures.Data from the Center indicates that approximately 40% of donors in the so-called ‘LPR’ are students, who are being pressured by educational administrations and local authorities to participate.

Experts emphasize that under the banners of ‘unity’ and ‘common struggle,’ youth are essentially being exploited as a resource to support military objectives, which contradicts humanitarian principles and human rights.Earlier reports highlighted that the Kremlin intensifies propaganda among youth in occupied territories to foster support and loyalty toward its actions.

The Center notes that Russia continues to militarize Ukrainian children, forcibly taking boys from Ukraine and subjecting them to military training to become soldiers of a foreign army.Among such cases is a 15-year-old from Kherson who previously achieved medals at Ukrainian sporting competitions.

Now he is in a Russian camp on Shumshu Island near Japan, undergoing military training—becoming a victim of extensive propaganda aimed at shaping a new generation of supporters for the foreign war machine.
