Ministry of Defense Simplifies Military Registration Process for Ukrainians: Automation and New Opportunities for Youth and Adults

Chas Pravdy - 25 September 2025 19:29

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is implementing significant reforms in the country’s military registration system aimed at making it more convenient, modern, and less time-consuming.

At the initiative of the department, the Cabinet of Ministers approved changes that enable the automation of registration and deregistration processes for Ukrainian citizens.

The updated procedures are designed to ease the burden for young conscripts as well as for experienced citizens aged 25 and older.

According to the new regulations, 17-year-olds will be able to register remotely via the mobile application ‘Reserve+’, eliminating the need to visit Military Commissariats (TЦК) and undergo military medical commissions, which will significantly reduce time and effort.

For men aged 25 to 60 who, for various reasons, have not been registered, now their registration will be handled automatically by the system, streamlining bureaucratic procedures.

This step marks a move towards digital transformation of public services and optimizing administrative processes.

Deregistration from military records for those who have reached the maximum age for military service or have completed their obligations will also be automated.

Government authorities are required to update personnel lists and make necessary entries within five days of an individual reaching the age limit.

These innovations will reduce the workload on recruitment offices, make the process more transparent and efficient, and strengthen the country’s mobilization readiness.
