The Kremlin has once again refused to entertain any potential meetings with Ukrainian officials, making it clear that all proposals for negotiations put forward by Kyiv are completely unacceptable to Moscow.

According to official spokespersons, any plans for a meeting in any country suggested by Ukraine are not aligned with Russia’s interests and cannot be accepted.

The Kremlin accused Ukraine of stalling peace negotiations and emphasized that each day Kyiv refuses dialogue, it diminishes the prospects for a quick peace and worsens Kyiv’s negotiating position.

Vladimir Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, in an honest comment, stressed that Kyiv demonstrates passivity in diplomatic efforts and pointed out that Ukrainian politicians actively name various countries, but most of them, including neutral nations like Austria and Switzerland, are deemed unacceptable by Moscow.

Peskov also expressed surprise at Zelensky’s refusal to come to Moscow and questioned why, if he is open to dialogue, he does not take the initiative to visit Russia himself.

He also highlighted that the military situation on the front line indicates a worsening of circumstances, supposedly confirming the Kremlin’s stance that the Ukrainian leadership’s delays are prolonging the conflict.
