In Finland, a significant cyber incident has been reported, impacting the official website of the country’s Ministry of Defense.

According to preliminary information, the government defense agency’s web resource was subjected to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which involves flooding the server with an artificially increased number of requests.

This cyberattack temporarily impaired user access to the site, causing difficulties in retrieving current information and services.

Rapid response measures were taken by security and defense authorities to mitigate the effects and restore the website’s functionality.

Officials from the Defense Ministry apologized to the public for the inconvenience and assured that they are working swiftly to resolve the situation.

The perpetrator and motives behind the attack remain unknown.

Additionally, earlier reports indicated cyberattacks on check-in and registration systems at several European airports, notably in Berlin and Brussels, with suspects detained in the United Kingdom suspected of involvement in this large-scale cyber activity.
