During his three-day diplomatic visit to New York, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky engaged in high-level negotiations with representatives of the international financial community and key world leaders.

The most significant event was his meeting with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, where they discussed prospects for further financial support for Ukraine and the possibility of using frozen Russian assets for the benefit of the Ukrainian people.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF to maintain economic stability and national independence.

In addition to economic issues, he addressed security threats, highlighting recent violations of NATO airspace by Russia, including the incident in Copenhagen on September 22.

According to him, the lack of a swift and decisive response from allies may embolden Russia to continue provocations, thereby endangering regional security.

The background to these events is Zelensky’s arrival in New York on September 23 to participate in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, with upcoming meetings with the U.S.

president and other world leaders, which are crucial for regional political and security stability.
