Ukrainian Armed Forces confirm successful strikes on strategic targets in Russia and Crimea
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has officially confirmed the execution of precise attacks targeting strategic facilities within the Russian Federation, including areas in the Bryansk region and the Crimean Peninsula.
These actions represent a decisive response by Ukrainian military units amid escalating tensions and aim to inflict significant damage on Russian military infrastructure.
Early on September 23, Ukrainian missile and drone units, working in close coordination with other components of the defense forces, targeted and destroyed the ‘8-N’ line production dispatch station near Naytопovichi in Bryansk Oblast.
This installation is part of the ‘Steel Horse’ oil pipeline complex, a crucial logistical link supplying fuel to the Russian occupying forces conducting military operations in Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the strikes resulted in fires at the pump compressor station, disrupting vital fuel supplies.
Additionally, Ukrainian drones have conducted repeated attacks on the ‘Samara’ production station in the Samara region of Russia, which is responsible for blending high- and low-sulfur crude oils from various fields to produce the export grade Urals.
The extent of damage to these facilities is still being clarified.
Furthermore, Ukrainian forces confirmed hitting two aircraft on the ‘Kacha’ airbase in Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
The results and the severity of the damage are under further investigation.
Prior to these strikes, Ukraine’s special operations unit, ‘Phantoms,’ on September 21, 2023, intercepted and destroyed two Russian Be-12 ‘Chayka’ anti-submarine amphibious aircraft over Crimea, demonstrating Ukraine’s high level of military preparedness and coordination amid ongoing hostilities.
