Trump urges NATO countries to shoot down Russian aircraft violating alliance airspace

During his recent visit to the UN General Assembly in New York, former U.S.
President Donald Trump issued a strong statement emphasizing the responsibility of NATO member countries in ensuring air security.
He highlighted that alliance members should enhance their responsibilities and without hesitation shoot down Russian military planes that violate their airspace.
According to Trump, such action is essential for maintaining security and stability in the region.
When asked by a journalist about NATO’s possible response, the former president replied: ‘Yes, I believe they should.
I will inform you about this in a month.’ Regarding security guarantees for Ukraine similar to NATO’s Article 5, Trump explained that it is too early to give definitive answers.
He added that this issue would certainly be discussed further and expressed hope that a common decision could be reached soon.
