Trump Accuses Europe of Funding Russia’s War Through Oil and Gas Purchases

During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 23, former U.S.
President Donald Trump sharply criticized European nations for their policies of purchasing Russian energy resources.
According to him, by buying Russian oil, gas, and other energy commodities, European countries are effectively financing the war waged by Russia against Ukraine and other nations.
Trump emphasized that such actions are not only irresponsible but also shameful, as they support an aggressor instead of seeking alternative energy sources or actively working to end hostilities.
“Buying Russian energy resources is a clear mistake that provides Russia with funds to continue the war.
I insist that this must be stopped immediately, or we all will be wasting our time and resources in vain,” Trump stated.
He also pointed out that even NATO members are still importing Russian energy, which, in his view, is another proof that European countries are funding the conflict.
He described this strategy as reckless and threatening regional political stability and security.
