The incident occurred in the late afternoon when rescuers were en route to assist in a border village within Sumy district.
According to initial reports, the enemy, likely employing a military drone equipped with cameras and fiber-optic lenses, launched a precise strike on the fire truck carrying emergency personnel.The attack resulted in damage to the fire vehicle, but brave firefighters managed to evacuate from the scene using an armored vehicle, which became their salvation.
Rescue workers condemned this act as a war crime, highlighting that such aggression goes beyond conventional warfare and exemplifies the ruthlessness of Russian troops, who do not hesitate to attack even those who are saving civilians.
