Russian air strikes on Zaporizhzhia: Six bombs cause massive fires and destruction

On the night of September 23, Russian military forces launched another attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, dropping six devastating glide bombs (FAB), which ignited large fires and caused destruction across residential and industrial areas.
According to Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, this was the second large-scale assault within two days targeting this peaceful city.
He emphasized that during the shelling, residential neighborhoods were impacted, private infrastructure was damaged, and industrial facilities caught fire, leading to significant destruction.
Preliminary reports indicate that earlier, on September 22, Russian forces dropped 10 KAB rockets on Zaporizhzhia, destroying and damaging vehicles, igniting fires, and resulting in human casualties — three people killed and four wounded.
These relentless attacks underscore the ruthlessness and strategic cruelty of the aggressor towards civilian populations, threatening thousands of lives and destroying vital city infrastructure.
Local authorities continue to urge residents to stay safe and be prepared for further assaults, as the situation remains tense and ongoing threats from the enemy persist.
