Russian Aggression Continues to Strike Ukraine’s Critical Infrastructure: Overview of Chernihiv and Other Regions

On the night of September 22nd, the security situation in Ukraine worsened once again due to a new wave of attacks by Russian forces.

Chernihiv, a strategic regional city in the north of the country, was targeted with another blow — this time at a critical infrastructure facility.

Explosions were heard in the evening hours, causing concern among local residents and officials.

According to official information released by Dmitro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, Russian troops deliberately targeted an essential facility that sustains the city and region’s vital functions.

In his post, he emphasized that the situation remains under control, and no casualties or major destructions have been reported; however, each such attack highlights the importance of critical infrastructure objects for the country.Furthermore, throughout the day, similar incidents occurred in different regions of Ukraine.

For instance, in Zaporizhzhia, a series of explosions took place, caused by artillery shelling and drone operations.

Regional military authorities report heightened alertness, but no casualties or significant damage have been recorded.Additionally, explosions were also documented in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, underscoring the ongoing systematic attacks by the enemy targeting both southern and northern borders of Ukraine.

Officials urge residents to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols, as the situation remains tense and unpredictable.
