Amid recent aerial tensions across Europe, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen hinted at possible Russian involvement in the series of drone-related incidents threatening national stability.

During a brief press briefing, she outlined a alarming pattern of drone activities that have emerged lately, including sightings over Poland, heightened operations in Romania, and violations of Estonian airspace.

The situation worsened when drones caused the complete shutdown of Copenhagen Airport, Denmark’s busiest air hub.

Frederiksen cautiously expressed that while direct attribution remains uncertain, the scenario suggests a possible attempt by external actors, potentially Russia, to sow chaos and test the region’s defenses.

She emphasized that these actions might aim to challenge the resilience of European airspace and NATO’s response capabilities.

Danish police revealed that the drones were operated by experienced personnel who approached from various directions, activated and deactivated their lights multiple times during flights, and mysteriously disappeared from radar screens.

These coordinated maneuvers point to a highly organized effort, heightening concerns about security breaches and the broader geopolitical implications.
