Andriy Biletsky critically addresses the injustice in Ukraine’s mobilization system

Commander of the 3rd Army Corps Andriy Biletsky emphasizes that Ukraine faces significant inequality in its mobilization process, fostering a sense of unfairness among the population.
According to him, the system primarily conscripts individuals from less privileged backgrounds, while those from middle and upper classes are rarely drafted.
Biletsky believes that this situation negatively affects the moral climate within military units, as many start to feel that their contributions are undervalued and that injustice leaves them alone with their fate.
“What is happening now is an expression of injustice of a different order.
I might die, but you won’t.
That is entirely unfair,” he stated.
He also mentioned the issue of exemptions, which, in his words, are mostly bought by companies or individuals and do not directly contribute to the country’s defense capability.
Biletsky stressed that today’s recruits are often lacking in technological and military preparedness, highlighting the need for a fundamental rethinking of recruitment and training approaches.
“If we systematically work on building a sergeant corps, recruit people according to their professional specializations, and ensure a fair process, it will not only boost motivation but also significantly increase the efficiency of the army,” he is confident.
Additionally, he pointed out that Ukraine has ambitious plans for military technological development, yet the challenges of scaling these innovations remain relevant.
Russia has already caught up and is surpassing Ukraine in the drone technology sphere.
