Zelensky Arrives in New York to Attend 80th UN General Assembly and Key Diplomatic Events

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially arrived in New York, kicking off his diplomatic mission on the occasion of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
This event serves as a critical platform for Ukraine’s leader to present the country on the global stage and to discuss pressing issues related to security and peace.According to reports from sources such as ‘Ukrinform,’ ‘Suspilne,’ and Zelensky’s official Telegram channel, several significant events are scheduled as part of the visit.
On Tuesday afternoon, the President will address the UN Security Council, focusing on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and its implications for the international community.
Ahead of this, Zelensky will hold a bilateral meeting with U.S.
President Donald Trump and participate in other negotiations aimed at strengthening international support for Ukraine.On the sidelines of the General Assembly, key conferences and summits will take place, including a session dedicated to the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, and the fifth Crimean Platform summit, which will feature First Lady Olena Zelenska.
Additionally, the Ukrainian leader will engage in a global forum dedicated to Ukraine’s restoration and recovery.Later, Zelensky posted a video confirming his arrival in New York.
In his message, he emphasized the importance of participating in international forums: “Together with the First Lady of Ukraine and our team, I arrived in New York to participate in the main international events of the year—the UN General Assembly, the summit on the return of children, and the fifth Crimean Platform summit.
This underscores the global importance of Ukraine’s fight and our commitment to peace, including the effort to return Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia.”
