In the case concerning the detention and charges against Ruslan Mamedrasulov, a senior detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, a new witness statement has emerged challenging key details presented by investigators.

The witness, Yusup Mameshev, recently confirmed in a conversation with the detective that he received threats and revealed information related to the sale of technical cannabis.

Notably, Mameshev stated that during the conversation, the discussion was specifically about possible smuggling to Uzbekistan, contradicting earlier reports claiming the conversation involved Dagestan.

He further added that investigators from the NABU questioned him as part of procedural actions related to allegations of abuse of office by some law enforcement officials during the searches conducted on July 21.

Sources within law enforcement agencies confirmed his participation in the investigative process.

Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Center, emphasized that Mameshev’s testimonies indicate that authorities have been falsifying the case from the very beginning.

Recall that on July 21, the Security Service of Ukraine detained Ruslan Mamedrasulov on suspicion of treason, after which he was remanded in custody without bail.

The investigation claims his cooperation with the Republic of Dagestan through his father, supported by audio recordings supposedly confirming this.

However, the audio reveals discussions about Uzbekistan.

The Kyiv Pechersk District Court extended his detention until October 21, citing the complexity and risks of the case.
