From the night of Monday to Tuesday, September 22, Ukrainian defenders faced what has been the most extensive attack by Russia in recent months.

Over 140 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and guided bombs were used in an attempt to breach Ukraine’s air defense system.

Ukrainian air defenses detected and neutralized approximately 132 drones of various types, with nearly 80 being Shaheds.

Preliminary reports indicate significant infrastructure damage, notably in Zaporizhzhia, where Russian UAVs launched a large-scale assault resulting in casualties and destruction of residential and critical infrastructure.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack was repelled using aircraft, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare systems, and mobile air defense groups.

Nine Russian drones struck seven locations, with debris falling on eight more sites.

Between 4 and 6 a.m., Zaporizhzhia once again came under tactical aviation attack, leading to the deaths of three people and injuries to at least two others.

The city suffered damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, complicating the lives of residents and threatening local security and stability.
