Drones Attack Moscow and Moscow Region: No Severe Damage Reported, but Signs of Disruption Appear
On the evening of September 22, the capital of Russia and its surrounding areas experienced a rare nighttime event — a mass attack by unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, Russian forces managed to shoot down nine drones, which launched an assault on Moscow and nearby regions.
The incident sparked widespread discussions among residents, who reported hearing loud noises lasting several minutes.
Fortunately, there are no reports of infrastructure damage or casualties at this time.
Additionally, authorities announced temporary restrictions at Sheremetyevo Airport, including delays and suspensions of departures and arrivals, causing some disruption to air traffic.
While the situation remains under control, the threat of future attacks persists, and security measures are being reinforced to prevent similar incidents in the near future.
