Decisive Meeting in New York: Trump and Zelensky Prepare for Critical Talks at the UN Session

On Tuesday, September 23, the heart of international diplomacy will witness a highly anticipated meeting between U.S.
President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This event has become a focal point in the days leading up to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which traditionally gathers world leaders to discuss global security, economic, and political issues.
White House spokesperson Carolyn Levitt confirmed this event during a briefing, noting that besides the Zelensky meeting, President Trump is scheduled to meet with the UN Secretary-General, leaders of Argentina, and the European Union.
According to Levitt, Trump will emphasize his administration’s achievements over the first eight months, including the conclusion of seven global conflicts and active engagement in international affairs.
He will also highlight how modern international institutions have significantly damaged the stability of the global order and outline his clear and constructive vision for the future of the world system.
Equally significant is Zelensky’s upcoming visit to New York, scheduled for next week, which involves a bilateral meeting with Trump in the sidelines of the UN session on Monday, September 22.
These negotiations are highly anticipated, as they concern crucial issues of security, cooperation, and the potential for further alliances, which are of great importance both for Ukraine and the international community.
