Ukraine has taken a significant step toward strengthening its military, economic, and diplomatic standing by presenting initial proposals to its international partners regarding the legal and controlled export of weapons.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during his nightly video address, emphasizing that the country aims to secure ‘strong contracts’ that not only reduce dependence on foreign arms supplies but also boost the development of Ukraine’s domestic defense industry.

Zelensky highlighted that Ukraine intends to establish a regulated system for exporting weaponry, especially maritime drones, which are vital for safeguarding maritime routes—an integral component of global security and stability.

He also mentioned that Ukraine is offering its reliable and trusted partners opportunities to jointly develop projects that have already proven beneficial in defending the Black Sea region.

This initiative, according to the president, opens new avenues for Ukraine not only in military cooperation but also in positioning itself as a dependable partner on the international stage.
