In a historic move, the international community has demonstrated its support for the Palestinian people by officially recognizing the State of Palestine.

This decision marks a significant milestone after years of diplomatic efforts and carries substantial political implications for the region.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney emphasized that the country views the establishment of two states as the only viable pathway to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.

He highlighted that Canada’s longstanding efforts in this direction have been hindered by Hamas terrorism, settlement expansion in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as increasing tensions between settlers and Palestinians.

According to Carney, only open negotiations and full de-escalation of conflicts can pave the way for peace.

Meanwhile, in the United States, public opinion shows that nearly half of Americans believe Israel has gone too far in Gaza.

Carney pointed out that Hamas’ terror activities exacerbate the situation, while Israel continues to expand settlements, violating international law and causing many casualties and starvation.

The global community continues to call for an end to ground operations in Gaza and seeks diplomatic solutions to de-escalate the conflict.

In Australia and the UK, recognizing Palestine is seen as a crucial step toward peace and stability.

During the 80th UN General Assembly, several other Western countries, including France and Belgium, are expected to formally support Palestinian statehood, further strengthening international diplomatic efforts in resolving this crisis.
