Zelensky predicts fuel crisis as Ukraine’s drone fleet grows to match Russia’s

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed confidence that Ukrainian armed forces will soon reach a level where they can stand as a comparable opponent to Russia in the development of drone technology.
According to Zelensky, once the number of Ukrainian drones approaches the Russian fleet, shortages at fuel stations and reserves will become evident, serving as a clear indicator of Ukraine’s military progress.
He emphasized that Ukraine has established production of long-range drones, and now the pace of their deployment largely depends on funding.
The government is allocating additional financial resources to procure and produce drones for each battalion, aiming to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
Zelensky also highlighted that the increasing number of drones is already impacting tactical conditions on the battlefield and complicating logistics for the Russian forces, creating new challenges for the adversary.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military operations continue with strikes on strategic targets across Russia, including regions in Saratov and Samara, signaling Kyiv’s active offensive posture and efforts to disrupt enemy logistics and supply chains.
