Ukrainian Forces Launch Major Attacks on Russian Oil Facilities – Two Major Oil Refineries Destroyed

Consistent and targeted Ukrainian military operations have demonstrated their effectiveness by striking critical energy infrastructure targets within Russia.
In recent days, Ukrainian forces achieved a significant tactical breakthrough by hitting two key oil refineries that play vital roles in Russia’s oil supply system.
Russia’s reliance on these strategic assets is diminishing as Ukrainian military actions have resulted in the complete destruction of part of their processing capacities.
The targeted facilities include the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery of “Rosneft” in Samara Region and the Saratov Oil Refinery, both of which have lost substantial operational capabilities.
This development considerably limits Russia’s ability to quickly restart fuel production, leading to a growing shortage of Russian gasoline, while gas and oil turn into valuable resources that are rapidly consumed.
The Ukrainian drones—specifically, UAVs from the 14th SBS Regiment—delivered a serious blow to these targets, often in coordination with Ukrainian air defense systems (SOU).
Commander of UAV forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, emphasized in his Telegram channel the strategic importance of these strikes, marking a new phase in Ukraine’s resistance against Russia.
Additionally, Ukrainian military officials highlighted that these attacks result in economic losses and damage critical infrastructure in the aggressor country, reinforcing the interconnectedness of military actions and energy resources.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently commented on the large-scale strike on Ukraine, emphasizing that such actions have severe consequences and require a coordinated international response.
Experts underline the importance of further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities to counter future threats.
These operations aim not only to weaken Russia’s military potential but also to destroy its economic foundation, underscoring Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to utilize air and missile attacks to disrupt Russian energy infrastructure.
