Ukrainian Forces Break Through Russian Defenses, Making Significant Advances in Eastern Ukraine

In recent days, Ukrainian military units have achieved a substantial breakthrough in the Donetsk region, particularly around the town of Dobropillya, where they managed to push several kilometers deeper into enemy lines.
According to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrainian defenders liberated seven populated areas and successfully cleared nine villages from Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
Overall, it is known that during this active operation, Ukrainian troops have liberated more than 160 square kilometers of territory, with an additional 171 square kilometers cleared of enemy forces.
Russian losses amount to 2,456 personnel killed or wounded, with 1,322 confirmed dead.
These figures significantly boost the exchange fund, facilitating the return of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces reported chaos among Russian troops, highlighting the fragility of their defenses.
Additionally, the Russians lost over 817 units of military hardware, including tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other equipment.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukrainian armed forces are conducting counteroffensive operations in the regions of Dobropillya and Pokrovsk, offering hope for further territorial reclaiming and revealing weaknesses in Russian positions in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
